Changing Perspectives

March 13, 2018

I am a troubled teen.  My mother thought it best

to send me to the colonies so i saild to the west.

My uncle is a colonel over Brittish fighing men.

(You'll know this other famous guy, last name, Franklin; first name, Ben).

I came from Brittain and so I thought these soldiers had my back.

As war waged on I realized my ideas were out of whack.

These soldiers were determined not to give up without a fight.

Ben tried to play the peacemaker but, alas, the dust he did bite.

I joined with Benedict Arnold to find George Washington.

When we arrived in Florida, his hanging had been done.

However, in a twist of fate my father we did find in a jail cell where we thought George was.

It nearly blew my mind.

George was not there, he had been killed.

The only thing to do, was use a cannon as a ram

to make a doorway through.

We fled to Lousianna.  The Yankees fought the Brits.

It did not end well for the Yanks.

They got beaten to tiny bits.
