Panic Attack

November 7, 2018

Heart pounding too fast,
can't breathe,
soul locked in the dizzy cage
as I spin to the frequency of the world
too fast, too loud.
It's all crashing down now.
I am TNT lit at both ends,
I could tell you just how the sky looks as it's about to fall,
the end of it all seeming inevitable.
Shatter the glass in the mirror,
I can't stand my reflection now.
Blood pools at my feet;
glass shards cutting my wrists burn
and I'm dizzy, sinking now into
oblivion.

Silence.
It's over now. Breathe and start again.
