Until the Dust Returns
A unity; formed from dust,
molded from bone of another,
being of one nature,
sharing of the same bread,
of the same breath,
of the same sight,
of the same mind,
of the same body,
of the same Spirit:
no longer seeing with eyes of one, but another;
no longer speaking with a mouth of one, but another;
no longer hearing with ears of one, but another;
no longer living a life of one, but another;
sharing the same soul
when your faces glimmer with the radiant hues of a joyful heart,
when a tear trickles down the cheek; diving into your palms,
when thunder rumbles in the lost words of a troubled mind,
or when your shoulders rise with a breath- swallowing your heart,
remember to enshrine the truth of a Lamb
nailed to a tree for the errors of nature.
Remember the divine roots of sacred harmony
reflecting the Bride and Groom.
Remember your creator
as one flesh
merged by the Spirit of Life;
a memory nourished
from the amber sunrise, until the auburn sunset;
from delightful youth, until days of old;
from sewing of seeds, until its plentiful harvest;
from the dust of man, until the dust returns. Amen
