COLD WAR CHILLS

October 7, 2019

I get the Cold War Chill
Stories of walls dominating nostalgic feel
Proven and tested over millennia
Pros cons debated over and over
Binary domain remain the escape
Seamless hops skips and jumps
Conjoin across the global village
Speed beyond light communicate in this age

I get the Cold War Chill
Stories of walls dominating nostalgic feel
Of yesteryears when such would deter
Presently distance barriers carry little far
And wide for most of the majority
In every corner life seems easy
Where it was days now hours
Such is the information age and it’s powers

I get the Cold War Chill
Stories of walls dominating nostalgic feel
Barriers erect to select who what which is important
Though ideology floats free wind in tree
Create disseminate over physical gate
Wider audience daily consume data for immediate or save later
Can that one be subjugated? Can that one be concentrated?
To paraphrase Che you can kill a man but not his thought process
That is one that remains legacy beyond mortal success

I get the Cold War Chill
Stories of walls dominating nostalgic feel
In present company carries little to redundancy
I may not require personal touch
I can hop skip jump to get to where or what i want
The inverse serves proper and true
Build up the fort
Will it serve its purpose think not

I get the Cold War Chill
Stories of walls dominating nostalgic feel
Beyond the controversy and gimmicks it reeks
I shake my head silence and think
Why retrograde to a forgotten age and time
Where exclusion never was a proper solution as opposed to inclusion a better solution
I get the Cold war Chill and nostalgic feel
But what with the binary mortal consume on a daily
Walls Barriers Forts and Blockades
Won’t contain the ideals we require to maintain
