Bleeding

October 25, 2016

Falling asleep to his heavy breathing
To my starving heart, it’s bewitchingly entrancing

Falling for him is beautifully deceiving
My heart pattering like it’s scared but it’s only feeling.

Falling further and further, my escape is caving.
Diving in further into this abyss, but I don't need saving.

Like a fool, in its wake, I can't stop reeling
I'd painted my walls black but they've started peeling.

Uncovering bright red, my ego is kneeling.
My very stamina is wounded and bleeding.

So here I lay, my will damaged and thinning
As I cut the bastard out, before it starts winning.
