This is me

February 13, 2015

I take away the edit

I take away the filter

I take away the fake smile

I end up with me

My imperfections, my flaws my insecurities

My blemishes

My crooked bottom tooth

My disappearing upper lip

My flighty hair

This is me, vulnerable

Nothing to hide or conceal

This is me, in the natural light

But in my weaknesses I find strength

I am unique in these ways

I am different

I am me, just me and that’s how it should be.
