Clouds of Breath

July 20, 2016
Where my emotion
Is gathered in
Constant tension
My nose, my throat
Hot clouds of
Breath that disallow

The peaceful rain
To swallow down
My doubt, my insecurities
My stress, my fear
My overwhelming feeling of

Sitting, staying, being
Nothing for people here.

My brain tells me
That's untrue
But my heart

Is what I listen to.
My throat is hotter

Each time I exhale.
I feel each year
That the next
Is when
I begin my tale.

So how do I

Regain control?
Tell myself the place to be
Is now, is here
That here is the goal.
I do not know
For sure
My ikigai,
Though when I do
I'll be sure
The first to know
Is you.
