Corrupted World (Philanthropy, Free Verse)
March 10, 2016
It started out on the first day
As I walked through the gates not knowing there was a trap set to spring
Suddenly... BOOM!
Someone had pushed me against the ground like a lion pouncing on the prey
They cursed and insulted me as I lay helplessly on the ground
Wondering when someone would help me
Children gathered as if an amazing achievement had been won
As they stared at me heartlessly with blank faces
I found myself in a dark room hopeless with despair
I reached out to the light finding nothing but dust and ashes
A corrupted world with everyone against me
That's what bullying feels like
