In Silence We're The Same

January 9, 2015

That rare moment when no one speaks

And the ticking clock bleeds my ears

Is when I can pretend

That I am not the only one

That just for once and only once

This struggle is not mine alone

But the voices arise through the quiet

And I fade away into reality

The reality that I am all alone

I thought their voice could be the medicine

The medicine to my pain

But it turns out their voices are poison

A beautiful dynamic I destroy

With my lack of voice

But at least when its quiet

I can do no damage.
