Semi-Haiku Sequence

January 6, 2014

Blue summer sky, breathe

melody of inhaled light

bright eyes

eleven p.m.

warm blanket covers city

while art stays up late

open mind absorbs

harmony of hearts beating

when Rome rests, you rise

rub sleep from your eyes

breaking the morning's first light

blue summer sky, breathe
