What motivates me to get out of bed

Is really kind of cliché.

I do it for his darling face

And his smiling brown eyes.

Yes, it is for a boy.

But while for some girls the boy is a lover

For me, this one’s my little brother.

He’s lankly and skinny and almost taller than I

But his young voice is still only a giggle.

He does not let me hug him in public

But if he is scared, he doesn’t let go.

This little guy is the Pan to my Wendy

And even though he is growing up,

We’ll grow up together.
