Tranquilizer

October 22, 2015

these thoughts are running rampant

they won’t stop until i call him

help

i think i need a tranquilizer

i see you standing just

40 yards away

we make eye contact and you start to walk my way

stop

i think i need a tranquilizer

to keep you from coming any closer

because i know my poor heart couldn’t take it

if you walked over to say hello

only to leave with out so much as a goodbye

my heart would need a tranquilizer

just to get me through the pain
