Trouble

February 8, 2014

The trouble with time

Is that it lets you think

About anything and everything

That comes to your mind

The trouble with work

Is that it makes you think

About every one and every two

That ever passed you by

The trouble with tears

Is that they never truly dry

They leave tracks down your cheeks

Every time you softly cry

The trouble with laughter

Is that it never really stops

It leaves a mark upon your face

Admitting years of life gone by

The trouble with hate

Is that it fills you up inside

It eats your soul down to the core

And leaves you waiting, waiting for more

The trouble with love

Is that it fills you up inside

It eats your soul down to the core

And leaves you wanting, wanting for more

The trouble with trouble

Is that it never goes away

It is hidden down in every moment

Just waiting to ruin your day
