Let Me In

April 18, 2013
I told you I loved you. But you still won't let me in, And I don't understand. Was it something I did? To wall up your heart, To seal it from the world? Let me in, Open your heart. Let me dry your tears. Let me catch you when you fall. Let me hold you close, And don't ever let you go. I told you I love you for who you are, for every one of your flaws, for every gift, for every failing. I told you I wanted, To hold you close, to never let you go. But you turned away, turned your back, And left me standing there, All alone, tears falling. Wishing I could do something, but knowing you'd never let me. I only ask for you to, Let me in, Open your heart. Let me dry your tears. Let me catch you when you fall. Let me hold you close, And don't ever let you go. And I want to help you so bad, To hold you close, To comfort you, to make you smile But you won't let me, You won't let me in. That's all I live for, The smallest chance to be there for you To love you like I want to, But you still won't let me in. I only want you to, Let me in, Open your heart. Let me dry your tears. Let me catch you when you fall. Let me hold you close, And don't ever let you go.
