One One Thousand

July 8, 2014

you

One one thousand

Two one thousand

Three one thousand

You

Four one thousand

Five one thousand

Six one thousand

YOU

Sevenonethousand

Eightonethousand

Nineonethousand

TEN

I try to count you away

I try to push you back

Back to the back of my brain

I count

I try to blow you away

One deep breath at a time

I sigh, hoping you will hear

I breathe

The lights flash past

Green and red glow dim

The dark sky black as pitch

Flash me to the past, and to you

One one thousand

You

Two one thousand

YOu

Three one thousand

YOU

There is no point in counting

You will always be there

There is no point in pushing

You will still be there

There is no point in sighing

Its not a magic summons

Its not a gun made silent

You will always be there

There lights that flash and fade

Remind me again

One one thousand

you
