The one inside

October 14, 2014

My story seems like any other

A girl who walks through the hall with a smile and a wave

Someone who can brighten anyone's day with a crack of a joke

She can laugh along with the group and not think twice of what's inside

Inside there is someone screaming to get out and tell

Tell of the horrors that were witnessed

Tell of the pain that still lives within

The only problem is how to let her out

The job of the girl outside is to be strong and strive for perfection

She knows she's far from it but still tries just to make others happy

With the pleasure of others she isn't happy

Her smile is fake but still shines

Inside she is one who wishes to curl up and cry

Until I'm ready that girl is locked up inside
