Change the World
May 15, 2013
The lights go out
The wind blows cold
The high dark clouds
Lose their wet hold
The clouds let loose
The blue sky goes black
We have to choose
If we’re going back
We live in a day
We live in a time
We watch the world
And it flies by
We see the dark
And we want the light
But when comes here
We run, try to hide.
It only takes one
Spark to light the fire
It only takes one
Heart to change the world
It only takes one
One moment to see
That in the distance
There will be
A future
Where all are free
A life
Where I am free
The lights go out
The darkness rules
We discover
In our schools
What cruelty
We have just done
What insanity
We have begun
We watch the world flying
We see life dying
All around us; crying
Children are lying
It only takes one
Spark to light the fire
It only takes one
Heart to change the world
It only takes one
One moment to see
That in the distance
There will be
A future
Where all are free
A life
Where I am free
I am free in ways
I never should be
I’m tired of living life
For only selfish me
I’m done with the madness
I’m giving up now
I’m cleaning up my mess
And I’m moving out...
