SUFFOCATING

February 16, 2016

I feel like my emotional stability is falling apart

Becoming wobbly like when wheels fall off of a grocery cart

We joke around about becoming alcoholics

But I'm actually starting to enjoy the alcohol induced mind tricks

It's been weeks but I still don't feel ready

It's hard to sort through emotions that still grow unsteady

I'm aware that others have gone through this

but...their experiences I'd rather dismiss

In this class I present the pathways but feel the effects

Depending on when, between the two my behavior selects

It makes sense that inflammation leads to a dysphoric feeling

Freshman year when I was injured, I felt like such a weakling

Sleep for me has always been an escape

It's not a place I go to be a hero with a cape

I mean dreams are an interesting thing to experience

But you realize when you wake up that it was just a fantasy of deviance

You have to continue dealing with life when you awake

This is disheartening to me because there's only so much I can take

Back to sleep I'll go to get away

Recharging the emotional batteries for another day

After a long day with people, my neutrality starts to degenerate

Despite always talking to them, feeling their emotions is what I hate

I feel the anxiety, sadness, and the nerve-wracking

Feeling what I'm not meant to is extremely suffocating

I find everyone's feelings intensely overwhelming

Especially because the levels of negativity are constantly fluctuating

It's unfortunate that I only feel the dark emotions

That fact gives me multiple personality notions

I must've been a bad person in a previous life

This body needs a blade, some scissors, or a knife

I was shitty in that life and am in this one

Having purgatory as a life can't be fun

Explains why demons live internally

Like being in heaven, hell is also eternally

The actions that could come out would make you hide under the bed

Wanna come hang out with the walking catastrophe, go ahead.
