Flying

August 16, 2013

When I climb up the staircase
and
enter the enclosed capsule Without ventilation
Swarming around my body and mind is an array of emotions - all felt at once -
An encircling worry and fear, (What if this crashes?)
The absolute amazement and wonder of the technology required (How did the Wright's think of this?)
The rush of exhiliration/adrenaline (I'm going to be close to birds!)
Also - the lack of airflow - and how breathing is constricted by the everyday
But - there's the astonishing few - that broke the mold of the plane
And wrote
