Star Ladder

March 5, 2019

I sea the sea
I see the stars
I sea the flowers down below

I see the trees
I see the sun
I see it all from above

I see the cars
I see the kids in their yards
I see the beauty in it all
I may be up here
And you may be down there
I may have left you when I was young

But now I sit here waiting,
For you to take me with you

As mother and child hold hands,
Climbing the star ladder,
Finally together forever

Dedicated to all those children who died before they could shine
