If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

15 poems·Since March 2014

I am an aspiring actress who loves to sing dance and be my quirky silly self. i love to read and write as well, although i am much much better at the former. i just want to do what i am passionate about and make my mark.... and be a disney princess, but you know.

under the microscope

December 4, 2014

I live under a microscope.

someone's always watching,

waiting...

for me to make a mistake,

for me to screw it all up.

so i do what anyone else would do.

i fake it.

to be honest, i forget who i am sometimes.

but undernath the filters and the make up and the facade,

i am someone else, just waiting to come out.

they always say what you see is what you get.

that's a lie.

you only see what i want you to,

and sometimes only what you decide.

so cut the act.

you are just as much of a filter as i am.

to me and to you.

so take a chance with me.

lets stop playing hide and seek,

and start playing lost and found.

beause most of the time when you lose your self,

you find the you you left behind.

so who am i you ask?

well i dont know yet.

i am just as lost and confused as you are.

without my filter i'm just a girl.

but i'd rather be just a girl

than a dressed up, covered up, lie.

so i take my filter off.

i'm done playing pretend.

how about you?
