Sophomore Forever

August 15, 2025

I keep forgetting I’m not a sophomore anymore,
But that’s because I am forever a sophomore.
The most pain I’ve been through was during sophomore year,
and every moment is something I hold near.

I don’t regret any tears that I shed,
and I’m thankful for the blood that I bled.
I don’t hate the people who caused me pain,
and I won’t forget the moments I acted in vain.
I got in the most trouble I’ve ever been in,
and committed the most unfaithful sins.

But I don’t regret a single thing,
I’m thankful for everything every moment brings.
These things shaped me, built me, into who I’m meant to be,
But I don’t wish to change the past, you see--
Sophomore year may have been my worst,
While there were things happening to me first.

I shed a lot of tears, blood, and even laughter,
and that’s why, I am a sophomore forever.
