Friends

November 4, 2014

Friends are a lot like water turning into steam

Evaporating into thin air although you need them, like water

They seem to come and go like tourists at a museum

They are her one moment and gone the next

As if they were the wood that burns into nothing but ashes

Seemingly like a leaf floating down a rapidly flowing stream

Hardly taking enough time to stop and truly get to know you

They are flakey, like dead skin after a horrific sunburn

They are friends, or at least, I thought they were….
