Internal Struggle

January 6, 2015

anxiety.

Nervous tics

Fidgeting

Stomachaches

Headaches

Thoughts scrambled

shaking.

Hope it's not visible

Vision blurring

Is the smile convincing?

Does the laugh sound real?

questions.

Oh yes, I'm fine

I'm just tired

My head hurts a bit

Don't be silly

I'm okay.

scared

Don't know what of

Everything, perhaps?

Maybe.

But at the same time,

I. Am. Strong.

I can do this alone

I don't need help, thanks

stuck

Between who I am

And who I was

Between who I am

And who I want to be

Between what you see

And what I feel

Between Life

And mere Existence

Between feeling trapped

And wanting to be free

Between what you see

And me.
