If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

15 poems·Since July 2017

I have wanted to be a writer since five years old and have spent my whole life working towards that goal. I've a strong imagination and when I set my mind to something, no one can stop me. My family history is rich and I am proud of my heritage, but also I am a proud, patriotic American. Speaking out for justice, freedom, liberty, and truth are important to me.

Because...

September 18, 2017

Because I love you,

We should agree on what matters,

And not care about our ideas,

On kings and mad hatters.

Because I love you,

We should speak with grace,

And not yell at each other,

In each other's face.

Because I love you,

I will do anything.

Even if I hate it,

Because I love the smile you bring.

Because I love you,

I will make sacrifices,

And know even if you hate,

Somethings are worth the while.

What you hate,

Is maybe what you need,

What you love,

May make you bleed.

We look out for each other,

We do what is best,

We put the other above ourselves,

And rise to every test.

Because I love you.
