ONE FLAG

April 29, 2014
Its hoisted up the flag pole in the morning and flies proudly all day, it’s taken down at night as the haunting sound of the last post begins to play. It’s flown over every base and after a long patrol its very sight can put a smile on many a face It’s a symbol of what we are deep inside its very sight has been known to make our enemies run and hide. No matter if you call yourself English, welsh an Ulsterman or Scottish, these colours won’t run because we are British It’s the flag that I proudly served for years and years but when it’s draped over a coffin it’s the cause of many tears. So no matter where you come from, no matter which part, for me the pride in that flag will be tattooed on my heart.
