Before Dawn

January 14, 2014

Darkness comes to suffocate you,

in the depths of the night.

You're left alone and defenseless,

and can only be rescued by the sunlight.

Midnight strikes.

It's the perfect time of night.

In alleyways, shadows walk.

By vampires, you are now being stalked.

You see a blur, as they hurry toward you.

Run off and try to hide.

Fangs flash and sink into your deepest vein.

They're able to take you without a fight.

As your body lies limp,

they finish you off.

Drained of blood, they are now done.

Change into a bat and fly into the above.

Such a horrible feeling,

to have the life sucked out of you.

Yet the predator's face is so appealing,

but still loved by so few.

So the immortal continues on,

doing what he does best to survive.

Going from victim to bloody victim.

Before dawn arrives.
