my cross to bear

October 30, 2013

you say you care as you stand and stare

into my eyes its no surprise

but underneath, yeah i can see

everything we had, it all went bad

we felt in love, but the stars above

they rejected, we were protected

and yet the arrows, they flew like sparrows

they found the chink in the armor, seperated, together we are more

i did my best, but i was just so stressed

i tried to protect you, but our feelings grew wings and flew

right out the window, cryin into my pillow

screamin your name, howling i'm no longer tame

never again, will a love like our be wrent

and now its flown the coup, mom brings me some chicken soup

but i throw it at the wall, in my pillow i begin to bawl

my life is shattered, nothing seems to matter

but i have to pick my self up, pick the peices up

got to put it together, it will get better

it's my cross to bear, so don't just stand and stare

i can't do this alone, i have a will of my own

this greif cannot go one, its time to move on

getting off this ledge, time to get back off the edge

gotta go to college, so i can learn the knowledge

that i need , to grow up and succeed

and have a normal life, some children and a wife

and a job to support them all, i'm breaking down this wall

now i'm on the right track, no one piling on my back

i'm moving on, my cap and gown i want to dawn

now i know that i am strong, its time to end this awesome song!
