The one I used to love

May 14, 2026
“Love is not stable; it has its ups and downs, but you have to make sure not to destroy the ones who are on your team—the ones who have your back and love you—because when you burn your bridges, you fall to rock bottom.” -The one I used to love I’ll burn the bridges I’ll run away For no one has ever stayed I won’t return to being dust Because a fool is who believes in love I gained the strength and ran away All alone at my own pace Yet no one followed and I was a fool to believe That I was enough to love you see? I tried to build a brand new start To find the pieces of my cold heart But every road I chose to take Just reminds me of all the promises you decided to break So I burned the bridges and ran away Left everyone behind because it was safe I hurt people along the way But not enough to even care for a day
