If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

1 poem·Since June 2020

They~Them I'm a black and queer multifaceted artist and poet wanting to change the world. I've been writing ever since I can remember, and started seriously writing poetry at 12. I performed for the first time on stage at 13 and felt a sense of home and true passion. I kept writing and performing slams at as many open mics, or variety shows I could find and started competing in poetry competitions at 14. Currently, I've been writing more raps and using beats over my writing. Poetry is and will forever be my true love.
