1992

I remember when the world was full of poets who expressed themselves absolutely beautifully.

Most of their minds were ruined by humanity as society drove them into insanity.

Their words were used literally and metaphorically, absent of superficiality and full of reality.

The time when dreamers touched the sky, singers tasted love and artists lived forever through the people they united regardless of their faith or nationality.

It was the hardest of times; it was the easiest of times. It was the age of reality and the age of fantasy (Dickens.)

Remember when we stood up and talked about making a change?

Now the world is walking plastic, trying to preserve their youthful age.

We ran free all day a night; we fucked up but with good intent.

Not in paradise, or united yet but at least we finally saw a black president.

Maybe we’re a little lost; but our hearts go on past the end of the road

I didn’t lose my religion and my soul was saved before it was sold.

But we killed ourselves softly now we don’t think and can’t feel.

We’re insane in the brain but baby believe me nineties kids are real.

I'm a bitch, I'm a loser, I'm a creep and a mosquito too.

Let's sing the anthems of the red, white and true.

Hand in my pocket while chasing waterfalls too

Live, love, learn however you want to.

This is how we children of the nineties do.

Lived, loved, true, I did what I had to

because I'm a product of '92.

I did it again, I brought myself pain.

We bore babies, before bearing a brain.

We stay up, we do everything, we don’t hold back anything.

We live for the moment and move in a mysterious way

because that's the real thing, that’s the "G" thing.

Our day is a fire fading fast, don’t let it slip away.

Ready or not here the future comes,

we face it together that’s the nineties way.

We were never perfect but we loved truly and beautifully.

We believed in life after love and crashed into others freely.

We were individuals but we were one. We were a shinning ray of light.

We were a vision of love and glowing freedom that always shined bright.

We got knocked down and got up to find the path that was right.

We lived a hard knocked life but still imagined seeing god on a local bus.

We walked Philadelphia’s streets and upon the sun, there's nothing left to discuss.

We are all stars, we are the nineties, nothing and no one compares 2 us.
