23 Days of history
23 days of history
Everyone is talking about the city Englewood
But this time it seems the news is pretty good
The murder capitol has slowed its roll
It seems like they’ve got the violence under control
It’s been 23 days and nothing to hear
After an estimated 70 homicides a year
That’s enough to leave anyone in fear
We’re talking 274 shootings this year
What once was swampland, turned into stomping ground
Now history was made with what was recently found
High crime, I think it’s high time
To come to a resolution
For this level of crime
To bring back the days
Of building colleges and malls
Before death was the agenda,
There were services for all 7
Parades, concerts events, podcasts
Parties in the parks, and radio broadcasts
With hopes that this new found change
Is the start of life and much more
We’ll be praying for Englewood
That their peace will be restored
It’s this something to praise
Wait for the next day to pass as we raise
Now that the police finally have to work
There are duties to be done
For a long time its as if the hoods have won
Fear has been put into officers hearts
They have been label as quick draw mcgraws
Pigs project fear
Attempting to still kill
False evidence Appearing to be real
they cover the main objective
With a false promoting act
Of finding the solution before they even have the facts shoot first….
Then ask questions
Why did you turn around?
What was your real suggestion?
Why didn’t you stop filming?
what was it in your hand?
Why wouldn’t I think to chase you?
Not to shoot because you ran?
Not all crimes are black on black
But they give you no choice but to react
Lori lori lori
Your action do nothing but tell a story
