America, Filled with Hate

Sat, 04/01/2017 - 01:16 -- sarastu

America, the great?

More like, America, filled with hate.

Bigot leaders representing the states,

and implicitly biased officers endangering my mates.

We've got black folks murdered day by day,

muslim folks taunted weekly,

immigrants deported with no remorse.

America, the great?

More like, America, filled with hate.

No shouts, no marches, no riots accepted,

even silence and peaceful 'strations are detested.

With Kaepernick unemployed to show for this,

no hope to even grow from this,

how can any of us call America, the great?

We need reforms in police trainings--

Why? Because my black brothers and sisters are dying for no reason.

We need reforms in political rhetoric--

Why? Because the hateful agenda spreads racism and violence.

We need reforms in immigration control--

Why? Because America was founded upon immigrants. America, the great?Maybe someday--but for now, that is up for debate.
