The Appendix

if you open up a human

you will find that it is

filled with strange things,

the appendix among others,

as well as a multitude of

emotions and thoughts,

entire galaxies, worlds, leaves,

countless people in one,

all bound together with knowledge and stress,

cabinets filled with spare hearts

some dark and hollow,

some heavy, some happy, some

all used up,

and a closet full of memories,

a closet full of life,

many strange things cluttering up

the inside of the skin sack,

the strangest, perhaps, the appendix.
