What is diversity? one asked
What makes the world a better place?
What makes a culture believe?
That they can succeed without a race
What makes us superior to one?
Or instead inferior to none
Are we afraid to change and grow?
Or do we sustain in a way to know

to stand together as a whole
To fall together as a nation
to believe that our minds can control
Creating a new generation
We might be free and prejudged
But yet we don’t apply
Ourselves with the rite knowledge
Or best of all even try

Our ancestors has paved the way
But yet we turn the other cheek
And the nonsense that we strive to meet
Has not been easy to seek
Where are we bound to be In the future?
What are our goals and obstacles?
Why do we believe that certain tasks are sometimes impossible?

Impossible to complete but should be impossible to fail
Why are we afraid to do well between heaven and hell?
Empowerment is the key but wisdom is the way
Faith is what keeps us going at the end of the day?
But our hearts are covered and our minds are not open
If we don’t keep hoping then our future will be broken

We never had it to loose but some how gained & abused
And still our generation today is some what confused
We are the future of our time
We are the writers of our lines
We are the leaders of the world
We do control what’s in our minds

If it wasn’t for those who made a speech
To teach the goals that we have reached
Then I don’t believe still to this day
That there would be a black history
