A Boy Who Always Smiles

There is a boy who always smiles

as long as he's not home

his friends all think he's happy

and no one really knows

he goes to school happy

just to get away

but sooner then hed like comes the end of the day

thinks today could be different

on that dreaded bus ride home

but his mind is filled with fear

for the truth he really knows

he opens up the front door

feels his smile melt away

the air is full of anger bitterness in what they say

he's to blame for it all

he does everything wrong

never heard a word of love

been this way all along

he rushes out the back door

flees to a friend

he's so tired of this bitterness he just wants it to end

he spends all of his time away

barely returns home

his friends the only family

hes ever truly known

families are made of love

they aren't made by blood

so if your family is made of fear then make another one
