Boys' Summertime

There was a summer long ago

Endless days, filled with space

We played and swam and knew no woe

Never left the monopoly board

My friend was Tommy; I still see his face.

Full of grace, just thirteen years

What is that thing, that mood

Or aura we had, without fears

And worries, unknown to brood,

Boys, your mission today

Is to be with each other

And enjoy yourselves come what may.
