Oh how we’ve grown apart,

This poem I wrote, of a broken heart,

I don’t know why you do these things,

This pain, I feel won’t ease.

For what have I done,

Was nothing but love,

We flew together, like turtle doves,

There is a saying that goes,

If you love someone let em’ go

If they come back, it was meant to be,

If they don’t, it never was.

I see you with her all the time,

I wonder if you’ve ever seen me cry,

Those tears I shed, stained like,

Menstrual blood on white sheets,

But before you go, hear my plead.

A broken hearted, me.

I try, I try but it’s never good enough,

I guess what they say about you is true,

I’ll never be good enough for you.
