Chains

You''ve got chains on my heart,
And on my soul.
Putting padlocks on my arms, feet, and mouth,
I''ve got no say nor control.
Your grip stern and affirmative,
Chokes me up inside.
I drown in it from the inside and out.
I can''t stand up to you,
Rather I am pushed to ground.
These words alone, take so much effort to say.
Because with every breath I take,
The will to speak just drifts away.
I have so many chains and locks, that ties my whole being up.
I hope time passes by,
Enough so that eventually I can find the key,
to my many chains and locks.
Finally, so that all of it may stop.

Walking away from everything you know and finding yourself..
