Children Change my Life

May I have a millstone for a necklace

As I drift at sea

Than to let a child sin

I wish to give them guidance

Then to helplessly watch the world crush their dream

To give others purpose gives me purpose within

To get there, I could travel many paths

But in the trenches of social work I chose to stand

Despite heartbreaks and self doubt

Despite that I am still a novice just learning what the world's about

I will endure

For my dream is their dream's success
