"Childrens" abuse

1 Corinthians 8:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a  stumbling block to those who are weak.

Hall’s of failures

Two children are dying ... both beyond repair?

One physically handicapped ... one mentally desperate

Two parents “living” ... that seems quite fair

Both trapped however ... in ways of deliberate

Not knowing how to give ... a path of detrimental

With two hearts spinning ... without any defense

One hanging on to life ... and one suicidal

Where is the beginning ... where is the end?

Darkness settled long ago ... absence of light

Nightmares of yesterday ... clawing in the presence

Artificial goals ... pressing with all might

Someone has to pay ... to whom is the message?

Responsibility is one’s own ... here no exceptions

“The devil made me do it” ... no more excuse

But what if the parents ... led to this frustration

Not easy to prove this ... premeditated child’s abuse

What if parents dress in fake ... although appearing well?

Children peek through facades ... this is a gift of God

When religion is a flake ... children can tell

this hypocritical promenade ... where truth resides not

The easiest to punish ... are children for my guilt

They cannot defend themselves ... when they are very young

Instead for them to flourish ... the preciousness gets spilled

until they can’t mend ... all the damage that is done
