Cinderella Without The Fella

You all know the tale of Cinderella

Who ran to the ball to find a Fella.

She made up her golden locks

To have a ball until twelve o'clock.

But when she arrived at the palace gate,

The prince she'd heard of she could not locate.

In front of her was not a Charming young man,

But a Hawaiian shirted frat boy,

Chatting up a girl named Diane.

She gave him a chance and approached him anyways,

But all he did

Was brag about the girls he'd made out with in hallways.

As he drank a Natural Light,

He gave Cinderella a smile

For he had not seen

A blonde in a while.

He wrapped his arm around her and leaned in for a kiss,

But she leaned back and said, "I'm not that kind of miss!"

She was appauled and sad

For her dream man was named "Chad"

And he was no Prince at all

But just a guy into alcohol.

Cinderella soon realized,

She should see the world through new Eyes.

And she left the ball with both her shoes,

desperate to get home,

well before her curfew.

Actually she realized,

And this thought made her paralyzed,

But she was already free of her home,

And she was free to roam.

So Cinderella watched her dress turn to rags,

With it's stitched and snags,

And walk off into the distance,

Without regret for an instance.
