2 Peter 2:7-8

7 But God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man

who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him.

8 Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul

by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.

post mortem

Plans I can’t finish today while preparing for tomorrow

Investing time at hand in the approaching emptiness

Who can understand the taste of defeat and sorrow,

For battles never fought and why that anxiousness?

Ready to go I am with one athletic foot in mouth

A brain that is dysfunctional carrying it in a sack

An empty head filled with pride ready to go South

While in the North I ought to be with no way back

Energy long wasted and ready for the final push

I could not see myself cause there was little left

I dreamed of being young with a voice that should hush

Flesh that could not give for it seemed already dead

I am prepared for the race completely out of hope

The only fan has no confidence and nowhere to flee

Starting to run on one foot with the other in the grave

There are no trophies waiting as it neither should be
