Cruel Love

I'm going to say, Love is a bitch.

Little baby Cupid looks so innocent,

A cherub, an angel, a helpless baby.

Do not be fooled.

He is a jumbled mess of confusion and fast decisions

His aim is wrong, he probably wears a blindfold.

He must be drunk when he goes to work, spreading love at random.

Remember the arrow he carries around? It must be crooked.

It hurts when your heart is pierced, with feelings so extreme

A tital wave of questions, hope, and fear.

He also whispers words so sweet, yet mean all the wrong things.

He has a cruel sense of humor, bringing pairs together,

Only for the faith and love to fail so quickly.

If there is such a thing as a love potion, make it stronger.

Just think...some people promised to love one another forever

Yet they end up in prison because of a fight.

People even get mad and harm others

when someone doesn't share their feelings.

Why would Cupid even pierce their heart if he knew the outcome?

Love is a cruel concept with lies and swindling abound...

Don't let love be bloody

Don't let love be blinding.
