Dance Inside

Wed, 04/06/2016 - 22:02 -- Audax

when i was a little girl
i danced
and they said stand in line
and eventually i stood

the first thing i ever was, was human
and then i was artist
so first i danced
and then i drew
and then i rolled and tumbled etched and molded
and then finally i played
i vibrated
outward into the people
in a small cinderblock room among students
CGDA
cars go driving around

and when i was a little girl i danced
but now i walk with speed and direction
so i dance inside
and heels and toes softly beat
divine patterns inside me
i still move in color and form
in emotion and vibration
in love and creation
and i know, the movement must flow
out into the world.
