Don't Shun the Shy

Don't shun the shy

Don't quarantine the quiet

Approach them

Make them your brother

or sister

Don't shun the shy

Don't quarantine the quiet

Ask them how their day went

Say "Hello"

Give them a pat on the back

Give them a smile and nod

Don't shun the shy

Don't quarantine the quiet

Speak to them

Invite them into your group

Make them the center

Give them praise

Not punishment

Don't shun the shy

Don't quarantine the quiet

Acknowledge their existence

They have hearts and souls

Quiet people have eyes

and hands

Quiet people bleed if you prick

them

They laugh if you tickle them

They die if you poison them

Don't shun the shy

Don't quarantine the quiet

Do not ignore them

They are not invisible

Just because they don't talk

Doesn't mean they don't exist

This is written from

A shy person

Hear my word

Hear my prayer

Don't shun the shy

Don't quarantine the quiet
