End Abuse

All alone,

hiding from the unknown.

The lavender on my skin,

is not as sweet as the color promises.

It stings, and the red gushes.

All alone,

hiding from the unknown.

I didn't know.

I went from walking,

to falling.

Falling to thrashing,

thrashing to crying,

and crying to sobbing.

All alone,

hiding from the unknown.

He was a stranger.

He came, saw, and stole.

Stole my ability to trust.

Stole my joy.

I was left with fear.

Fear of people.

Fear of darkness.

Fear of myself.

So here I sit.

All alone,

hiding from the unknown.

The unknown events that can happen.

The unknown choices that are made.

Abuse is no longer unknown.

Don’t let me stay alone.

No more abuse is the world that needs to be known.
