: Poems, poems, oh how they bore me,
With lines and stanzas that only repeat,
The rhymes are tedious and take so long,
Why would someone write poetry? It’s just wrong.
The endless torture of analyzing and symbolism,
All this writing is going to give me an aneurysm.

Oh, the irony! While writing a poem about disliking poetry, you managed to squeeze in a lot of literary elements. I think this type of poem proves that poetry comes in all shapes and sizes, and shows that it can be humorous and sarcastic, too. Nice work! If you like Dr. Seuss, try writing a limerick poem or a clerihew (both are short and silly)! Check out how and more in the Resources section.
