Family Memories

What my family means to me

Is much speakable than words

When they’re around I’m happy

And free like a bird

But when they leave

We have to say our good-byes

We try to avoid the usual family cries

When they’re around

There’s love in the room

And it’s not safe to think about

How they have to leave soon

On Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Thanksgiving Day

We usually have family games

That we like to play

We pick and pick and tease each other

Were you talking about me?

Well, ha, your mother!

My family is one of the most important things in my life

If one goes through grief,

Then we all go through strife

Yes, we have families at church and with our friends at school

But there are none like the ones that make you mad,

And keep you cool

Now finishing talking about family

And the things that we do

Three word to them:

I love you!
