Mom, hey Mom!
Why is everyone mad about those dark people sitting at the lunch counter?
Why won’t that waitress lady give him any food?
Hey Mom, are you listening to me?
I really think they should just give him his food, he’s being nice.
You told me to always say please and thank you when I’m talking to a waitress
And he said please and thank you.
So how come I get food and he doesn’t?
- Oh hush, Johnny, tell the waitress what you want to eat.
But Mom, those guys didn’t get to eat yet, and they were here first.
Just like in school, whoever gets to the water fountain first gets the first drink.
- Well this isn’t like school, these people are different. Now hurry up and order.
But Mom, that’s not fair,
First come, first served that’s the rule.
